Fusion connection is a wiring technology that USES the heat generated by the discharge between electrode rods to melt the optical fiber into one. It can be divided into the following two types:
Fiber core adjustment mode
This is to observe the core wire of the optical fiber under the microscope, position it through image processing, make the central axis of the core wire consistent, and then conduct the melting connection mode of discharge. The fusion receiver equipped with a bidirectional observation camera is positioned from two directions.
Optical fiber fusion machine
Fixed V groove core adjustment mode
This is a high-precision V-groove arrangement of fiber, and the core-adjusting effect generated by the surface tension of the melted fiber is used to fuse the outer diameter of the core. Recently, due to the development of manufacturing technology, the dimensional accuracy of fiber core position and so on has been improved. Therefore, low-loss wiring can be realized.
This method is mainly used for multi-core one-time wiring.
